Examinations in detail using X-radiation diffraction of the dislocation substructure in fine-grained S355JR steels plate specimen fatigued with constant amplitude were carried out to investigate the correlation between the roughness surface and the underlying dislocation substructure. The results indicate that the surface roughness of samples has a time evolution, which is in a good correlation with the surface microstructure evolution.ro_RO
